UHF Antenna + Coax
UHF Antenna + Coax
Directional antenna for quick deploy field use operation, deploys it self in under 3 seconds making on the move field use a breeze. 8.1 dBi (5.95 dBd) gain. Under 1.7:1 SWR on the 70 cm band. (70 cm amateur band is to wide to cover all of it but this antenna will cover 430 MHz-450MHz and can cover the lower portions of the band if the radiating elements are extended out slightly and taped in place). Weighing in at 4 ounces and max length of 11.5" (when collapsed) makes for a great backpacking antenna for SOTA/POTA and similar activities. It is designed for 10 watts or less because it is a handheld antenna, but if mounted to a rigid stand it will easily handle more power. Made to be rigid and simple with no maintenance required, it is extremely reliable for field use.
*Comes with a SMA male to BNC male coax*
How the CQDD antenna was born:
I wanted a portable vhf antenna that I could quickly deploy, make a contact, and move to next location. I couldn't find one so I built one! I focused the design on extreme reliability and rigidity so I could be confident every time I brought it in the field. I do a lot of deep backcountry activities where reliability is a must. After many CAD and antenna designing software models, I finally got it just right. I was so happy with the performance of the antenna I went through the patent process. BeeTenna's CQDD antennas are handmade in the USA, by an FCC Amateur Extra License holder and HAM operator enthusiast.
